At PKP, we specialize in delivering comprehensive project management services that ensure the successful completion of your projects on time and within budget. Our team of experts is committed to providing high-quality services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Our core services include:

Project Planning and Controlling

Our Project Planning and Controlling services enable you to leverage our expertise without the overhead of a full-time project management team. Utilizing up-to-date methodologies, we ensure your projects are completed successfully and efficiently. We provide end-to-end project management, including:

  • Project planning,
  • Project monitoring,
  • Regular and analytical reporting,
  • Project coordination,
  • Document control,
  • Risk management, and
  • Resource control.

At PKP, we excel in project planning by creating comprehensive plans that define project scope, develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and establish clear schedules. We engage stakeholders to gather requirements, create scope statements, and decompose tasks into manageable components with WBS diagrams. Our scheduling includes task sequencing, timeline creation using tools like MS Project or Primavera, and efficient resource allocation. Additionally, we identify and assess potential risks, developing strategies and contingency plans for effective risk management.

We ensure project monitoring through daily stand-ups, Gantt charts for progress tracking, and performance metrics such as KPIs and Earned Value Management (EVM). We maintain issue logs and a formal change control process to address problems and manage changes efficiently.

We ensure stakeholders are well-informed through regular reporting that includes weekly status reports and executive summaries. We utilize visual dashboards with tools like Power BI for real-time metrics, offering customizable views to meet specific needs. In analytical reporting, we identify gaps between planned objectives and actual performance. By pinpointing these discrepancies, we recommend corrective actions and propose catch-up plans to help you stay on track. Additionally, we offer strategies to compensate for any delays, ensuring your projects meet their deadlines and goals efficiently. Regular meetings and feedback mechanisms are in place to discuss project status, address concerns, and incorporate stakeholder input.

Seamless project coordination is achieved through clear communication and structured workflows. We synchronize efforts across all project phases, ensuring that tasks are completed in the correct sequence and on time. Regular coordination meetings and updates keep all team members aligned, promoting collaboration and resolving any issues promptly.

PKP’s document control service ensures all project documents are organized, accessible, and up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle. We create a comprehensive document production schedule and continuously monitor the issuance status of each document. Additionally, we oversee the flow and circulation of documents, ensuring they are well-organized, easily retrievable, and readily accessible.

Our proactive risk management involves identifying potential risks early and developing strategies to mitigate them. We assess the likelihood and impact of each risk, creating comprehensive contingency plans. Regular risk reviews and updates ensure that we remain agile and prepared to handle any challenges that may arise, safeguarding the project's success.

PKP’s resource control service includes planning contractor resources and closely monitoring their allocation. By tracking resource performance against scheduled tasks, we identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to contractor resources.

Cost Management

Our expert team offers comprehensive cost management services throughout the project lifecycle. Key services include:

  • Cost Estimation
  • Budgeting
  • Cost Control, Monitoring, and Reporting
  • Cost Optimization

Rely on us to gain better visibility into your costs, enhance your decision-making processes, and ensure your project is completed within the defined budgeting target.

Our experiences in Cost Management:

Our cost estimation service is grounded in a meticulous breakdown of cost control centers (CCCs). We develop a comprehensive Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) to ensure every aspect of the project is accounted for. Our estimations are based on detailed analysis of contract costs and similar projects, conducted in close collaboration with the client.

By incorporating risk-based cost estimation, we account for potential costs and create a detailed budget that includes procurement, construction, as well as overheads. Additionally, based on the project schedule, we prepare a cash flow forecast that predicts expenditures throughout the project's duration, ensuring financial readiness aligned with the project timeline.

We engage stakeholders throughout the budgeting process to ensure alignment and approval, establishing a budget baseline for tracking and comparison purposes.

To control and monitor costs, we collect and analyze expense data. We perform variance analysis to address budget deviations and implement a change control process for cost impact assessments. Regular cost control reporting, including cost performance reports and earned value analysis (EVA), ensures transparency and informed decision-making.

Our cost optimization service focuses on maximizing budget efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. When liquidity needs as outlined in the cash flow are not met or funds are delayed, we provide tailored solutions to ensure optimal utilization of available resources. Our approach aims to minimize project delays and maintain progress according to schedule, leveraging existing funds effectively to keep the project on track with the least possible impact on timelines.

Claim Management

Disputes and claims can arise from contractors during each project. Our Claim Management service is designed to help you navigate these challenges effectively. We provide thorough analysis, documentation, and negotiation support to resolve claims amicably and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

In the CTFE project, PKP was instructed to assess the Contractor’s Dispute Referral and provide an opinion as to its credibility. Below are examples of PKP’s work in this project.

Project Verification

Our Project Verification service ensures that your project has been executed correctly and that all processes, activities, and deliverables have been completed to the defined standards and requirements. We conduct a thorough verification to confirm that the project meets all specified requirements and objectives. This service assures that the project outcomes are accurate, complete, and aligned with your expectations.

As a sample, PKP served as a third-party verification agent (TPVA) for the verification of activities and deliverables in ICERP (Iran COVID-19 Emergency Response Project)

Through the ICERP, medical equipment for COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment was procured, distributed to, and installed at the selected hospitals and laboratories around the country. PKP has branches in all provinces of Iran and utilizes its local teams under the supervision of the headquarters team in the Tehran office.

The primary responsibilities of PKP in ICERP were as follows:

  • Verify the goods procured and distribution of goods to beneficiary facilities;
  • Conduct the post-delivery verification including handover, installation, use of equipment, and staff training through the on-site verification visits;
  • Verify the environmental and social health assessments;
  • Provide the latest status and results of equipment and beneficiary facility verification in an online dashboard; and
